RESTAURANT KEI IN KYOTO

The concept for Restaurant Kei in Kyoto
 

​This is a gastronomic restaurant located in Paris.
The very clean and white color is used to intentionally create a space where guests can observe the process of making molecular cuisine.  The chief is like a scientist doing experiments in the laboratory. 
The whole space is characterized by the sky inspired ceiling. Mousse is a commonly used element in molecular cuisine relating to eatable clouds.
An iron-plated wall is set at the entrance, so people cannot see through the dining space directly so a scent of mystery is created and guests could privately enjoy the meal.
There are two open- kitchens and an internal kitchen. Guests can observe the mixing process at the first bar and the production process at the second one.

The lamps used throughout the space are all related to laboratory elements.
